Meet the Guys from BMT Fairtree Academy

The BMT Fairtree Academy is a local Stellenbosch initiative started by BMT, together with the sponsor team of Fairtree Capital (kit and race entries), Stillwater Sports (race entries), TREK (bicycles) and Essential Med (medical aid coverage).

Extreme Lights also have the privilege to light up the Academy's adventures, by providing the hard training riders with Red Tail - Two Eyes & Nifty Cycle Lights.

The academy numbers are more or less 20 with a few members that have been selected and nurtured as potential stars of the future race circuit.  Thando Nthuthu heads up the BMT Fairtree Academy. This academy’s aim is to grow local riders, ensure that they have the opportunity to ride in events and develop skills.

BMT is committed to social development and community support by pushing educational and riding opportunities for those that have never had this luxury.

Main Academy members include Chris Norton (Shop owner and water boy), Thando Nthuthu (Team captain), Unathi Msophi (Manager) and Azukile Simayile (Coach).

The Academy trains daily in and around Stellenbosch, when you go past them, give them a shout out, in support!
