Lights up my early morning downhill mountain bike trails like a charm. Long battery life on the dimmer settings for the flatter and tamer roads. Definitely getting another Extreme Light next time I need a bicycle light.
Effective, solid, nice bracket.
I've been looking for an affordable and powerful all in one light for a while, this seems to be a good balance, not quite as bright as I'd like but bright enough for road riding, will take a little getting used to all the modes. However after trying every other USB-C cable I have and wondering why there was no charge indication, I decided to use the included cable (and had to find an OLD USB-A charger block) and it does show the bars building up when charging... but really if it's going to be a USB-C connector it should charge with any modern USB-C charger (that has sufficient output)
Due to the size, weight and advertised lumens of this light (and with Extreme lights logo on it, I expected a little more performance in terms of brightness and battery life.
Appears there are better and cheaper options on Takealot and Temu for lights operating with only 18650 internal batteries (not 4 cell battery pack).
The light itself works good for the moment...only used it twice now. The attachment for the handlebar is not so good. The first day was a disaster, but I fitted a proper mechanical bracket..
....the idea of a rubber strap to hold it down is not practical......it moves all over as you cycle.....I have fitted a proper clampdown bracket as used on the Trans Baviaans light. It worked wonders this morning...
thanks
